Wilhelmina was an only child of a respectable pure blood couple and knew what to expect at the sorting ceremony. Hogwarts had not changed a bit since the founders had completed building it and opened its doors to various students from all walks of life. It was a disgusting thought that she would have to share a school with those of lesser blood. She wished she could have gone to Durmstrang but her parents didn't want he so far away and Helley couldn't blame them, she was a pretty top notch daughter. Helley hugged her parents and said goodbye with a weary handshake from next to the window of the compartment she was in. She had a couple of friends that she knew from all the pure blooded social events she'd been hauled to ever since she was young and so the journey wasn't too bad, gossiping excitedly about lesser blood children that were attending and talking about what they would do if a muggle-born was sorted into their dorm for of course, they would all be Slytherin or go home in disgust. For these girls is was Slytherin or no Hogwarts at all. The train pulled into the station of Hogsmeade and they got off. The were greeted by the groundskeeper and taken down a steep path to the boats. Helley chatted away with her friends and shared a boat with them. Across the lake the went, staring up in awe at the magnificent castle the looked across the lake. It was stunning, a true masterpiece to behold. The boats docked and the girls got out one by one, Helley was the first with her pushy nature and she dusted herself off. The sorting hat would be waiting for them and the girls stayed together as the walked up through the castle and off to the side room off of the great hall. Ghosts flew overhead and Helley enjoyed the emotions flowing freely about the room, so mud tension and excitement. All the first years were ushered into the great hall and stood about, Helley watched the candles floating overhead and looked up to see the night sky reflected in the ceiling. The castle was more beautiful than she could ever have imagined and then she watched as the first student went up to the stool and had the hat placed upon their head by the deputy headmistress. Child after child was sorted and Helley grew anxious, butterflies fluttered in her stomach and then her name was called. "Montague, Wilhelmina." Helley stepped forward, about half the first years had been sorted and it was her turn to sit on the three legged stool. The hat was placed on her head and it slipped down over her eyes. She heard a voice talking in her ear. "Oh yes, no doubt. SLYTHERIN" The hat shouted out the name of Slytherin and Helley was relieved. A grin spread over her face as the hat was taken off and she almost skipped off to the applauding table, she was home, Hogwarts was her home.
