MIRROR OF ERISED
"My hopes and dreams. What a funny thing to think about. I suppose that most people, including myself, would be inclined to think that I would see myself as an accomplished writer in the mirror, but as I have often learned people don't even know the surface of themselves. I suppose, now that I have given it proper thought, my greatest desire would be to be a story myself. I would like to be something memorable and extraordinary. I would like to have a life set in an interesting time period filled with all the love of Gatsby and all the trials of Bilbo and all the ecstasy or the letters written by Vincent Van Gogh. I don't know how all that would fit into a reflection, but it must in order to be my heart's true desire."
BOGGART
"We all desire to have something interesting and legitimate to be afraid of. Sadly, my greatest fear isn't some brilliant thing that makes me seem courageous or loyal or anything. Instead my greatest fear is the fear of coward. I fear opening doors. You never know what's going to be behind them."

OVERALL PERSONALITY
"The ability to connect with other people is not a skill I possess completely. I am not totally socially inept, but as an observer of modern life (and obsolete life as well) I tend to forget that interacting with people is even an option. Besides my close friends, I never will be the first to approach something, though I try to be civil when they approach me. Although, of course, sometimes they act like complete morons and I just can't help but point out at least one of their many flaws.
"I don't wish to imply that I myself is flawless either. Hardly. Of anyone I think I am perhaps the most flawed, it is simply that what I place value on is what I am rather apt at. Most people tend to excel at those skills that they think are the most valuable to human existence. If you favor beauty, you make yourself beautiful, if you favor strength, you make yourself fit. It's simple psychology.
"Not that I'm completely made up of my interactions with other people. Besides them, I am mostly just a writer, and a reader, and a great lover of literature. I could go on for hours just talking about Holden Caulfield as if he was my greatest friend. My father always says that I get too invested in fiction. I don't believe in fiction. Every novel is just truths coated in lies."
HISTORY
MOTHER Astoria Greengrass
FATHER Draco Malfoy
SIBLINGS none
OTHER Pansy Parkinson is his beloved godmother.
HISTORY
"Being the son of a known death eater who is the son of two known death eaters doesn't make for your average life. My godmother, Pansy, would always tell me that I should always think twice before trying to suggest handing over 'some hypocritical jerk' to the dark lord. That's the kind of life I had.
"I was always fascinated with people. Stories were constantly swirling around me. Stories of lost love, of lost boys, and lost spirits. I took to these stories like Lydia Bennet took to soldiers. There was nothing more interesting to me than the force of culture onto the innocent bystanders of the universe. I could listen to my parents and their friends talk for hours, simply to learn something about the truths that surround us all.
"I particularly loved my father's tales of the mysterious Severus Snape. We lived in his house you see; my father never did desire living in some big manor. (Too many empty rooms.) Dad inherited Severus's home when he died, and has lived there ever since. It's a beautiful place, but it's not so beautiful when you aren't thinking about beauty.
"My father says I'm a lot like Severus. I hope that's true. He says that Severus liked to fashion his words like I do, and that we have the same taste in insults. That was probably one of the highest compliments I have received. I am a wordsmith after all. Fashioning them in to some form that expresses truths, whether coated in lies or not, has always been a passion of mine. I was using words like 'colloquial' and 'altruistic' by age eleven, which I suppose doesn't sound too impressive, until you realize that people my own age don't know what those words mean.
"I suppose when I look back at it, and when I look back at anyone, that every effect affects that next effect."
